The head of the National Republican Congressional Committee, Representative Richard Hudson, is predicting that Republicans will increase their House majority in the upcoming 2024 elections.

As the House prepared to depart for the holidays, Hudson (R-N.C.) said reporters, “The environment is really strong for Republicans right now and we’ve got great candidates.” “We’re gonna grow the majority.”

Finally, he said, “Biden’s polling low everywhere.”

While Republicans did manage to reclaim control of the House in the 2022 cycle, the strong predictions of a “red wave” of GOP gains never materialised. At the present time, Republicans hold a slim 221-213 edge in the chamber. (Since Rep. George Santos was expelled, his seat is now empty.)

The most senior court in New York made a redistricting ruling this week that might give Democrats a few extra seats in the state legislature, and Hudson continued by saying he’s “disappointed” with the result.

“We’ll watch the outcome,” he stated.
