After six days in office, President Joe Biden will be visibly bruised and battered. He has presided over the killing of the intellectual pillars sustaining the progressive agenda of the Democrats, and he is also to blame for their loss in November.
A disastrous mandate that mushroomed into a multi-billion dollar industry—DEI—is now being dismantled. The environmentally conscious worldwide investing mandate, ESG, is being disregarded. Caretakers of children are questioning what is formally called “gender-affirming care,” which refers to the mutilation of children’s bodies. Censorship, the Left’s holy grail, is fleeing the fray, while limitless and illegal immigration is under assault.
Common reason wins out, meritocracy is on the rise again, and we just elected a president who stands with these causes: Donald Trump. Joe Biden has left this legacy.
Biden will be remembered as an exceedingly narcissistic and conceited man with average intelligence who aspired to be an exceptional president but fell short of even that lofty goal.
Axios stated that he secretly gathered a group of presidential historians two months into his presidency to talk about, essentially, what made presidents significant and how he might achieve that level of prominence. It is alleged that he told Doris Kearns Goodwin: “I’m no FDR, but…” Just picture the haughtiness.
The president wasn’t the only one with inflated sense of self-importance. So did the people closest to him. Someone once said that the White House had a “think-big, go-big mentality.” In their meeting with the historians, Axios described it as a “discussion of how big is too big — and how fast is too fast — to jam through once-in-alifetime historic changes to America.” In his pursuit of his goal—”to jam through what could amount to a $5 trillion-plus overhaul of America, and vast changes to voting, immigration, and inequality”—Biden was prepared to go to any lengths, even destroying the Senate filibuster, if necessary. Thankfully, this careless and unpopular president will soon have many of his harmful policies reversed.
The Democratic Party continues to act as though Joe Biden has fulfilled his duties as president. They celebrate the massive spending packages he authorized, not because they helped the American people in any real way, but because they sent trillions of dollars into accounts and causes that were beneficial to Democrats. His inept presidency is on full display in its shameful inability to provide charging stations or increase internet access; his legacy is a debt mountain of $8 trillion—30% of the total—that he leaves behind.
The consequences will be felt by Democrats. In addition to removing the Left from the political grid, Biden has left it in shambles.
Following the 2020 George Floyd riots, corporations embraced DEI initiatives that liberals cherished, but now they are cutting back. Many firms have reduced or eliminated their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, including Walmart, Ford, Meta, McDonald’s, Harley-Davidson, Lowe’s, and John Deere. A number of businesses are revising their policies. For example, McDonald’s has made the correct move by removing the “E” from equity and placing an emphasis on diversity and inclusion. Those who would rather reward merit and effort are opposed to equity since it guarantees that everyone will come out on top.
In light of the Supreme Court’s decision last year invalidating Harvard’s racial admissions practices, some corporations are taking action to address the potential legal implications for their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
On the other hand, they are paying attention to feedback from workers, particularly those who feel that DEI initiatives undermine meritocracy and promote reverse prejudice.
At the same time that they are abandoning ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards, which compelled investors to consider companies’ social and environmental impacts alongside their financial performance, financial institutions are also abandoning these standards. Claims that corporations that prioritized environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues would have better financial returns than those that did not fuel the rapid expansion of ESG investment, which has linked trillions of dollars with Leftist aspirations. That is not the case; ESG funds actually did poorly in years when oil and stock prices rose.
The judicial system has also been involved. American Airlines was found in violation of federal law by a Texas court who ruled that the company’s retirement plan investments should have prioritized environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations over high profits. Trump will reverse a regulation that the Biden administration passed in 2023 that allowed some retirement plans to take environmental, social, and governance (ESG) concerns into account when making investing decisions.
Not only have the nation’s top banks ended their commitment to the Net-Zero Banking Alliance, a comparable climate program, but prominent investment managers like Larry Fink’s uber-woke Blackrock have discreetly pulled out of the Net Zero Asset Managers program.
Meanwhile, 26 states have passed legislation restricting or outright banning therapies that young people have been referred to as “gender-affirming care”—treatments that might cause long-term harm. These limitations are in line with comparable policies in Europe, where officials have come to the same conclusion: there is no scientific evidence to warrant extreme therapies for youth.
Another Left-wing holy grail, unlimited immigration, is now facing opposition in both the United States and Europe. Biden has enraged the nation by opening the borders and permitting millions of illegal immigrants to enter the nation. This wrath extends to both the Democrats who advocated for this undesired influx of newcomers and the newcomers themselves. Illegal immigration has weakened national security, brought terrible amounts of fentanyl into the country, bankrupted many towns and states, and disgraced our judicial system. Donald Trump has made reversing Biden’s illegal attitude his number one priority.
Last but not least, the Democrats’ Disinformation Governance Board and other attempts to suppress Americans have failed. The clock is ticking on Meta’s social media platforms, as CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said they would no longer “fact-check,” which is code for censoring non-conforming speech. Leftists like Joe Biden are outraged because they want to dictate the way we talk.
Most Americans are eagerly anticipating the inauguration of Donald Trump, which they believe will put an end to the disastrous administration of Joe Biden and bring common sense back to the nation. January 20th is approaching at a dizzying rate.
