Elon Musk’s Ex-Friend: Ex-DOGE Head Will “Do Everything” to Hurt Trump

According to Politico, Elon Musk’s ex-friend Philip Low said in an interview Monday that Musk would try to harm President Trump in any way he could.

It’s no secret that Low and Elon have had their fair share of feuds throughout the years, as Low stated to Politico. “Knowing Elon the way I know him, I do think he’s going to do everything to damage the president.”

When asked about the GOP’s “one big, beautiful bill,” Musk responded on June 3 by labeling it “a disgusting abomination” in a post to X.

Back on Saturday, the ex-DOGE chief continued his criticism of the measure, claiming on X that it would lead to the loss of millions of jobs and “cause immense strategic harm to our country.”

Low informed the news source that “he has been humiliated.” according to Low. “The whole idea that Elon is going to be on his side and help woo Congress and invest in election campaigns for right-wing judges — Elon might do all of that, but deep down, it’s over.”

After 14 years of friendship, Low—a neurologist and creator of the startup NeuroVigil—fired Musk from NeuroVigil’s advisory board, according to Politico, so that Musk would not be able to exercise his stock options.

Low implied that Musk is only biding his time, according to the story, which said that both Trump’s and Musk’s camps claim that tensions have subsided since their viral internet feud earlier this month. Following Musk’s apology, Trump stated that he did not have any “hard feelings.”

Politically, Politico’s focus with yet another palace intrigue non-story is both ludicrous and profoundly unserious,” White House spokesman Harrison Fields told Politico. To achieve his goal of “Making America Great Again,” the president is concentrating on three areas: border security, economic recovery, and international peacekeeping.

After hours of discussions, Republicans in the Senate were able to get the bill past a procedural barrier late on Saturday in a party-line vote of 51 to 49. With the exception of North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, all Republicans voted to move the bill forward.

In the aftermath of the procedural vote, New York Democrat Chuck Schumer demanded that Senate floor clerks study the whole 940 pages of the Senate GOP’s version of Trump’s megabill. Delaying the package’s discussion by around 16 hours was the goal of the delay technique.

A further trillion dollars will be added to the nation’s already mounting $36.2 trillion debt, according to the Congressional Budget Office’s projections for the measure.

A spokesperson from Musk’s firm, SpaceX, did not respond to a request for comment.

Several of Musk’s policy views, according to Low, should be considered by Trump.

“Elon has wooed enough of Trump’s supporters to be an actual threat politically,” according to Low. “He doesn’t realize the battle that he has on his hands, and one way to cut the support away from Elon is to actually adopt some of the things he is for.”

Even if they disagree on Trump’s massive, gorgeous bill, Trump nonetheless called Musk a “wonderful guy” on Sunday. An earlier statement by the president indicated that Musk has “lost it” due to his opposition to the bill.
