Viewers throughout the country were surveyed by Fox News Digital to share their thoughts on the first presidential debate, which included former president Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.
As far as Tennessee Becky was concerned, Harris came out on top because the vice president “made strong points about her policies” and “focused on the positive.” The Florida independent Edwin likewise claimed that Harris had the upper hand in the debate, praising her “calm and cool” demeanor while criticizing Trump for being “typical Trump” and “just repeating what he’s been repeating for years.”
“I’m kind of torn between the both, but I think for being calm, I think Harris won,” he added. Things were far more manageable during Trump’s first term as president, which is why I support his ideas. Instead of the current state of affairs, which is somewhat disorganized, I believed he would have far more success conveying his message if he adopted a more presidential demeanor.
An Arlington, Virginia resident named Carolyn thought Harris was “ahead of the game,” but when asked if her financial situation is better now than it was four years ago, she said “no.”
The stakes are really high. In my opinion, the economy is completely spiraling out of control. Carolyn said that she would put her faith in Harris to fix the economy instead of Trump because she had a plan and she presented it well.
A Houston, Texas, woman named Mina who had previously stated her support for Harris, awarded her the victory on the grounds that “she’s able to form coherent sentences.” Local Bay Area resident Alex gushed that Harris “exceeded expectations” while praising Trump as “not so good.” Nevertheless, he did accuse the debate moderators from ABC News of being “pretty biased” in favor of Trump.
“They fact-checked him a lot, and they didn’t fact-check her, not even once,” remarked Alex.
Trump backer Sherry, who lives in both Michigan and California, said that she didn’t think the ex-president won the debate.
“I simply regret that Trump was unable to perform a more adequate job,” Sherry expressed to Fox News Digital. “Trump is great. It’s him I’ll be voting for. It failed to persuade me. Nevertheless, he was not in his usual game and he completely fueled her. Also, I’m disappointed that he was vague about his goals.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Tamara of Washington, DC, expressed her confidence in Trump to manage economic matters rather than Harris. In her goal of “getting under Trump’s skin,” Harris “accomplished what she set out to do.”
“Kamala was really baiting Trump, and she spent the majority of time doing that, not covering some of the issues,” observed Tamara. “I thought she held the debate better than Trump did last night for sure though.”
But Thomas of Michigan thought Trump had won the debate because of his “solid” platform.
Everyone just wants to feel secure, right? most people just want to make sure their kids are safe. Burglars are something they would rather not deal with. Thomas stated that they are seeking the fundamentals.
Former President Obama also won, according to Houston resident Kenneth, who said Harris was “not so great with her answers.”
“She appeared to be quite ignorant on numerous subjects,” Kenneth informed Fox News Digital. I believe that under Trump’s leadership, the American economy reached its pinnacle. He had a significant impact last night.
Michigander Gina said that Tuesday’s debate left many “questions that were unanswered on both sides” and that she didn’t think either candidate had won. However, she did appreciate Trump for being “more direct” with voters and for being “not afraid to tell it like it is.”
There was some disagreement among voters as to whether or not additional debates between Trump and Harris were required; some wanted to hear more policy discussions and would even watch for “entertainment” value, while others claimed they already knew who they would vote for in November.
According to Kriston of Tennessee, who expressed her preference for Harris during the first debate, “I think they should be more in-depth with some of the questions.” This information was reported by Fox News Digital.
In my opinion, it isn’t essential. Maybe for other people, but if there is, Elbert from Washington D.C. hopes they will delve further into policy details, as they didn’t really do that.
