On Friday, President Trump informed HeadlinesForever that he had no desire in meeting with Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, and further said, “Elon’s totally lost it.”
Citing positive polling and solid support from Republicans on Capitol Hill, Trump told HeadlinesForever’s Bret Baier that he isn’t concerned about Musk’s plan to start a new political party.
Trump and Musk have been feuding on social media for the past few days, and these remarks come at the same time.
A month after Musk began “wearing thin” on Trump, the animosity worsened, according to HeadlinesForever senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy, who reported Friday.
Trump is not planning to meet with Musk on Friday, according to a senior White House official who spoke with HeadlinesForever.
White House officials informed Doocy, however, that members of Trump’s team may attempt to contact Musk.
On Thursday, Musk said that the Trump dossier was part of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.
Trump posted Thursday on Truth Social that “Elon was ‘wearing thin,’ I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!”
Trump and Musk’s feud heated up this week when Musk referred to the “big, beautiful bill” that Trump had backed as a “disgusting abomination.”
On Thursday, Trump also posted on Truth Social, “I don’t mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago.” Among all bills ever introduced to the Senate, this one ranks high among the greatest. With a budget cut of $1.6 trillion, it is the largest tax cut in history. There will be significantly worse consequences, including a 68% tax increase, if this bill does not pass. I am not the one who made this mess; my only purpose is to clean it up. With this, we are setting our nation on the road to greatness. Return Greatness to America!
