Trump’s White House: Easter Gets ‘The Observance It Deserves’

Preparations are underway at the White House for what is expected to be a “extraordinary” Holy Week celebration in the lead-up to Easter, with President Trump taking part in many activities designed to commemorate and respect the occasion “with the observance it deserves.”

The itinerary for Holy Week was arranged by the newly formed White House Faith Office.

President Trump will observe Holy Week and Easter with the reverence it merits, according to Jennifer Korn, religious director of the White House religious Office, who spoke with HeadlinesForever Digital on behalf of the newly formed office.

“Throughout the week, we will distribute a Holy Week proclamation, a special presidential video message (and) host a pre-Easter dinner and White House staff Easter service.”

The event “will be a special time of prayer and worship at the White House to be shared with Americans celebrating the week leading up to Resurrection Sunday.”

In a presidential Easter proclamation that is anticipated to be issued on Palm Sunday, the president is scheduled to address Christians directly as Holy Week starts and reiterate his resolve to protect the Christian religion in various public and private institutions, including but not limited to schools, businesses, hospitals, and the military.

A Holy Week film is set to be released by the president on Monday, and on Wednesday evening, he will host an Easter supper.

At the meal, guests will hear President Trump speak, the Marine Corps Band play hymns, and Christian opera artist Charles Billingsley perform.

The president, Korn, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, senior counselor to the White House Faith Office Pastor Paula White, and other Christian pastors, priests, and religious leaders are anticipated to attend the meal.

White, the Rev. Franklin Graham, Pastor Greg Laurie, and Pastor Jentezen Franklin will presumably gather in the White House for a staff worship session on Holy Thursday, when they will pray, study scripture, serve, and partake in communion.

A praise band from Liberty University will be performing throughout the event.

“President Trump promised millions of Christians across the country that he would create a White House Faith Office, and he delivered on that promise,” stated Leavitt. “The White House Faith Office has put together an extraordinary weeklong celebration for Holy Week ahead of Easter Sunday.”

According to Leavitt, this “is another sharp contrast from the previous administration.”

According to Leavitt, the Biden administration designated March 31, 2024, the most solemn day of the Christian calendar, as Transgender Day of Visibility.

“On Transgender Day of Visibility, we honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives,” the Biden White House said in a statement.

Everyone who identifies as transgender in the United States should know how much they are appreciated. Everyone has heard you. It has been comprehended. You are rightfully here. You are the United States of America, and my whole administration is behind you, it continued. “NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility.”

His supporters wasted no time in denying that Biden had no hand in selecting March 31 as the date for Transgender Day of Visibility. They also pointed out that the White House has issued the identical proclamation year on March 31 since Biden’s inauguration in 2021.

Leavitt, who was the national press secretary for Trump’s campaign at the time, condemned Biden’s statement, calling it “appalling and insulting,” and exemplifying the “yearslong assault on the Christian faith” that the Biden administration had engaged in.

“We call on Joe Biden’s failing campaign and the White House to issue an apology to the millions of Catholics and Christians across America who believe tomorrow is for one celebration only — the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” she stated in 2013.
