During the brief hearing, the actor, 63, who arrived by videolink at Westminster Magistrates’ Court from the Middle East, merely spoke to confirm his name, his birthdate, and his London address.
After being accused of sexually assaulting an alleged male victim in events between 2001 and 2004, he made no indication of a plea.
The Hollywood star is currently facing seven accusations, including three for indecent assault, three for sexual assault, and one for inciting another person to engage in sexual behaviour without their consent.
They bring the total number of accusations against Spacey to twelve.
Prior to his upcoming court appearance at Southwark Crown Court on January 13, when he is anticipated to appear in person, he was granted unconditional bail.
In July, the actor went before the Old Bailey to defend himself against five accusations involving three men who are now in their 30s and 40s.
The five alleged offences, which he has already denied, are believed to have taken place between 2005 and 2013 in London and Gloucestershire.
Spacey oversaw artistic direction of the Old Vic theatre in London at the time.
He received unconditional bail at that hearing in advance of his trial on June 6 of the following year.
The Usual Suspects, House of Cards, and American Beauty all starred Spacey, a two-time Academy Award winner.
Between 2004 to 2015, he served as the Old Vic’s artistic director.
